Singer-songwriter Nellie McKay is an amazing combination of charm, intelligence, beauty, compassion, and wit. A razor edged tounge coupled with a soft and harmonious voice has lead critics to compare her to both Eminem and Doris Day.
A vegan and animal rights advocate, she uses her powerful voice to speak for those with no voice. The "Blonde Lobbyist" as she is known amoung NYC carriage drivers, has been working to end the use of horse drawn carriages in New York City. She also has targeted Columbia Universities mis-treatment, abuse, and torture of labratory animals.
