To All Our Vendors: The Denver Veg Fest and Health Expo has a zero waste goal. This means using products and providing services/activities that have a reduced impact on the environment than other comparable products or services/activities that serve the same purpose. We are asking all of our vendors and participants to be a part of this effort in the following ways: • Purchase and provide products with minimal packaging • Place recyclable waste in the appropriate containers which will be placed throughout the venue • Place all food waste and compostable material such as dinnerware and food service products in containers marked for compost • Donate leftover food products to food banks • Use locally grown and organic food products to the extent possible • Use products composed of recycled materials, post-consumer waste content, and compostable material To assist in this objective each participant will be provided with compostable dinnerware (plates, forks, & cups) to be used throughout the event as they visit various food vendors. If vendors bring paper or plastic goods, we request that they be in compliance with the points above. Waste stations consisting of three bins – one for compostable items, one for recyclables, and one for trash – will be placed at strategic locations throughout the venue. We ask everyone use these containers and help direct others in effective disposal of all waste. We thank you for your support and cooperation in this important effort.
